Creating paper fish is an excellent way to engage children in a fun and educational activity. Not only does it spark their creativity, but it also improves their fine motor skills. Paper fish can be used for decoration, as props for storytelling or puppet shows, or even as toys.
To make a paper fish, you will need colored construction paper, scissors, glue stick or tape, and a black marker. Start by folding the paper in half horizontally to create a crease down the middle. Cut out a fish shape from the folded paper using scissors. Unfold the paper and decorate your fish with markers or crayons. You can add eyes, scales, fins, and other details as desired.
Once decorated, cut out your fish along its outline using scissors. Fold your fish in half vertically so that each side is symmetrical with all of the previous cuts aligned correctly.
