To start off, you'll need some black construction paper, scissors, glue or tape, and a pencil. Fold the paper in half vertically and draw half of a bat shape on one side. Cut out the shape while still folded so that both sides are symmetrical. Once cut out, open up the bat wings and fold the tips forward at an angle to create flaps.

Next, attach two small strips of paper onto each flap by folding them over the top edge of each wing. Then fold these strips down about 1 cm from the top edge of each wing to create hinges where they meet the body of the bat.
